I currently have an 8-N Ford with a loader and rear blade;
I like this size tractor, or one even slightly smaller, but I need one with power steering and a live pto.

I use the loader frequently, but rarely lift more than 500 pounds; I will be using a finishing mower; I use the blade to keep my driveway halfway smooth.

I can't afford to spend more than $10k on a tractor with a loader. So, given those requirements, what would you suggest I look for?

Dave, If you your looking to save a lot of money and need
power steering and live pto,I would look around for a
AC D17 series4 they had 45-50hp,hand clutch,P/S and most
of them had 3pth's,great hyd system,I abused one for years
mowing trees,clearing timber,bailing hay,etc.We never could
break that tractor.My nephew owns it now and still runs
great.Around here(Iowa) I can find them for $3000-4500.
If your looking for something smaller and newer,I would
shop around for a JD755 or 855......Good Luck ....

If you're looking for a decent tractor for that price you may want to check out kioti or Long. You could get something in the neighborhood of 20 hp with loader for that price. You could also look at used units. ....

I would suggest the TC30 NH. You should be able to get a 30 hp tractor and loader with the trade or sale of your 8N with loader. ....
